With my extensive knowledge of plant material in Zone 5/6, I can provide guidance with plantings in relation to art placement. The relationship between the material and the work, the path of natural light, views for strategic locations, surrounding textures of architecture, the colors and textures of plant material — all of these play important roles in deciding where art work is installed. Other considerations include balance, scale and proportion of the piece in relationship to its outdoor “stage”. Last, but never least, I consider the composition as an entity, aspiring to a seamless extension from the interior.
